Five Element Cupping and Balance
Cupping Massage
Maxine is nationally certified in Acupuncture. Cupping is used in her
acupuncture practice since 1987.
She has treated circulation and muscle tension problems with cupping. The 5 Element Cupping borrows
from the discipline of acupuncture and Feng Shui. Maxine is also a
feng shui consultant.
Balance Cupping Massage seminar is developed from
her acupuncture experience with the goal of balancing the body, mind and energy
of the client while treating fascia with puimping cups.

Thailand Massage on the TABLE
Through the understanding of Thailand Massage on the MAT, Maxine creates Thailand Massage on the
Table to serve the massage therapist and their clientele. By creating the best
flowing massage from Thailand Massage on the MAT, Thai massage on the Table
becomes accessible to the general public.
It is easier on the massage therapists' body. When we learn about the energetic pathways of Thai massage,
we are referring to the yin/Yang patterns that Maxine uses in her acupuncture
practice.

Thailand Massage on the MAT
Maxine studies at different Thai massage schools in
Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand since1993. By viewing Thai massage through western eyes of the massage therapist, Maxine brings this eastern Asian practice to modern terms. She sees this massage as lymphatic, rhythmical,
myofascial and using principles of physics.
She is author of The Dancing Meditation of Thailand Traditional Massage(1995) and Open Secrets for Thai Massage
Dec. 2011. She has presented at the 1996 AMTA National Convention and at
different venues and massage schools within the United States and abroad. Maxine is an AMTA member since
1984. Maxine Shapiro is a graduate
of the Bancroft School of Massage in Worcester, MA.

Qi Flow Body Mechanics for the Massage Therapist
Through
her teaching experiences of the last 18 years, Maxine recreates connections to the Taoist experiences to support the energy flow of the massage
therapist. Her musical
background of eurhythmics from the Longy School of Music, Cambridge bridges the
western and eastern styles of movement with her background in Polarity and
energetic cranial-sacral work. She studies at the Healing Tao Center, Boston and studied Qi Gong in China in 1990.
